Retour sur les Darks Eldar avec ma première unité de Motojet Reavers.
Une seconde unité de 6 motojets est prévue, mais il va falloir que je me remotive vu le temps qu'il m'a fallu pour venir à bout de celles ci!
A l'origine, J'avais choisi mon schéma après avoir vu une motojet reaver dans le codex Dark Eldar ... Une motojet dans un violet sombre avec des motifs bleu turquoise ... beau contraste et identité visuelle forte, mon choix était fait!
J'ai donc peint une première unité de Kabalite et le résultat me plaisait bien ... je retrouvais le coté sombre souhaité et le contraste avec le bleu turquoise et le vert électrique marchait bien.
J'ai enchaîné avec les cérastes, le noir prédominant donnant encore plus de contraste.
Pour les motojet, j'ai passé mes bases, dégradés et glacis à l'aéro, mais les zones étant plus "large", le résultat obtenu fut plus beaucoup plus clair ... et d'un violet sombre, je suis arrivé à un rose bien saturé!
Il a alors fallu jouer du lavis pour assombrir le tout afin de garder une cohérence avec les figs précédentes ...
Le bleu et le vert sont toujours présent et les assombrissement successifs (lavis de bleu marine foncé PA très dilués et mélangés au violet initial dans différentes proportions) ont quand même permis de garder la cohérence globale, mais j'ai passé beaucoup de temps pour rattraper la teinte.
Les masques sont peint en gris bleuté clair et vernis à suivre avec plusieurs couches de vernis brillant GW très dilué ... on obtient ainsi un effet satiné très doux et surtout facile à maîtriser.
Petit point sur le soclage ... j'ai longuement hésité entre un soclage type "gélule" et un soclage sur des socles 40 mm.
J'ai fini par choisir le 40 mm car je trouve la figurine plus stable dans cette configuration (mes socles sont en résine), et je trouve ça aussi plus joli ... mais c'est vraiment une question de goûts.
Voilà, au final une unité que je trouve plutôt sympa visuellement, mais qui m'à donné beaucoup de mal et pour avoir commencé 3 venoms et un raider, le problème s’amplifie encore ... à un tel point que j'ai abandonné l'idée d'obtenir un violet sombre sur les véhicules ...
Et vu la quantité de véhicules qu'on aligne chez les Dark Eldar, mon armée risque plus de ressembler à un sachet de bonbons acidulés qu'à ce que j'imaginais à l'origine.
Nous verrons bien où cela me mènera ...
